2011 AISC Annual Meeting

October 6-7, 2011
The JW Marriott Camelback Inn
Scottsdale, AZ

Traditionally, AISC has offered a three-day Annual Meeting culminating with a membership meeting which included Board Member elections and votes on bylaw changes. Due to very low attendance, this three-day meeting is being replaced by two separate events.

October 5-7 will feature an invitation-only Industry Engagement Forum. This event is designed to provide future leaders of the fabrication industry, erectors, general contractors, owners, and steel producers/service centers with not just the “what” but also the “why” behind AISC’s activities. The Forum will give them an opportunity to engage both their peers and AISC senior staff in a relaxed setting. Participants will also get a sneak peak at early results from a major market survey commissioned by AISC. Attendees will hear about the perceptions of various segments of the construction industry, ranging from designers to erectors. Each morning is set aside for presentations and discussions while afternoons are reserved for casual networking events such as golf. (If you believe you should be included in this event, please contact Roger E. Ferch, President, at ferch@aisc.org.)

At 11:30 a.m. on October 7, the formal Annual Meeting will be held at the J.W. Marriott Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Ariz. This is a brief meeting (typically only 15 minutes) and will include the AISC Secretary’s and Treasurer’s Report as well as Board Member elections and votes on bylaw changes. The Annual Meeting is open to all AISC full members.
