The NSBA Prize Bridge Awards honor significant and innovative steel bridges constructed within the U.S. NSBA presents these awards at its World Steel Symposium, held biannually on odd-numbered years. The bridge awards divide into several categories: Major Span; Long Span; Medium Span; Short Span; Movable Span; Reconstructed; and Special Purpose. In evaluating projects for these awards, the jury considers:

  • Innovation
  • Aesthetics
  • Cost-effective design and engineering solutions

The independent jury is comprised of prominent members of the bridge construction community. Representatives from DOTs, design consulting firms and academia serve on the jury, which changes for each competition.

Thanks to all who contributed their time and effort to the 2007 Prize Bridge Entries. Designers of the winning 2007 Prize Bridge Entries will receive distinctive plaques during a dinner banquet at the 2007 World Steel Bridge Symposium in New Orleans, Louisiana.
