Product Description
The design of an industrial mill building involves myriad assumptions and parameters. In the current state of the art, there is disagreement about the validity of many of these assumptions and parameters. Inconsistencies exist among designers and in textbooks. Most of these inconsistencies concern design loads, combinations of design loads, effective column lengths, location of bracing, and function of the integrated structure. A limited amount of information exists in two to three dozen publications and textbooks. To the author's knowledge, there are no recent texts which treat mill building design in its entirety. Consequently, an effort was undertaken by the author to consolidate the various publications into a design guide.
